Assuming you're talking about games?
Download. It's simply more convenient to download it off Steam. Also, here in AUS Steam prices are generally cheaper than buying a physical copy. More so with sales.
Most importantly, I don't have to go outside. >_>

I'd prefer CD for console games. Reason for this is to take my games to my friends or cousins house to play with when they don't have the game(s).

CD because anything could happen to your console/pc and you'd have to redownload it which i hate doing or if its one of those you can only use the serial code on 1 device type thing, which suck lol
